前提概要

之前在Ubuntu18.04 安装了x11vnc,最近通过vnc view连不上了,使用ssh登录后,根据journalctl -u x11vnc 发现报错

Have you tried the x11vnc '-ncache' VNC client-side pixel caching feature yet?

The scheme stores pixel data offscreen on the VNC viewer side for faster
retrieval.  It should work with any VNC viewer.  Try it by running:

    x11vnc -ncache 10 ...

One can also add -ncache_cr for smooth 'copyrect' window motion.

解决方案

  1. 根据提示的报错执行x11vnc -ncache 10 后可以正常监听5900。此时通过vnc viewer可以正常连接,但是无法通过原先的密码访问。
  2. 查看 /lib/systemd/system/x11vnc.service 中读取密码的路径。
  3. 重置密码sudo x11vnc -storepasswd /etc/x11vnc.pass
  4. 重启x11vncsystemctl restart x11vnc 后可以使用新密码登录成功
